To empower the visually impaired by helping them acquire relevant skills and techniques, through professional training, with the aid of modern technology.
Mission
For the visually impaired, quality of life, economic independence, mobility, and most important to live a life of dignity and be treated as equals in society is a dominant force.
- Kamla Amul Massand's The Technical Training Institute of The Poona Blind Men's Association was established in 1960 and is working for the rehabilitation of the visually impaired youth aged between 18-45 years of age. It is managed professionally and has a team of trained and experienced staff/trainers/helpers. The capacity is 100.
- All our training programs, hostel facility, food, medical expenses are free of cost for the students enrolled.
- Along with the training we have extracurricular activities like yoga, sports, mudra training, festival celebrations, alumni meet, role model sessions and organising events with the help of corporates.
- Sessions on employment linked skills which includes resume preparation, mock interviews, mobility training inside and outside the campus, presentation skills which help for the holistic development of the beneficiaries.

Mr. Dhananjay Bhole - a visually impaired entrepreneur representing Sugamya Digital Solutions conducted a full day workshop on job opportunities for accessibility testing. This informative session was attended by 37 visually impaired students of accessibility testing, a course supported by HSBC Technology India.
Workshop on Data structure and cloud storage by Rituraj Buddhisagar for 16 visually impaired students. Rituraj has expertise in this field for more than 25 years and working as consultant for corporates.
Events And Activities
25 visually impaired students of Technical Training Institute of The Poona Blind Men's Association visited SRPF on 22nd August 2024. They had a new experience of attending the band, seeing the weapons used by the police and explanation from SRPF police about the usage of it followed by tea. It was a 1st time experience for our students.

Celebrated Teachers' Day at TTI with joy and laughter! The students surprised the teachers with spot-on mimicry, songs, and fun props, making the day extra special. Handwritten notes and souvenirs added a personal touch. Grateful for the love!
Janmashtami Festival celebrated by SPARSH Deafblind unit of The Poona Blind Men's Association along with the young visually impaired students pursuing various advanced computer trainings at the institute. The children were dressed as Krishna and broke the Dahi Handi filled with chocolates.
Smart Vision Glasses Distribution to 150 Visually Impaired students costing 45 lakhs was held at Technical Training Institute of The Poona Blind Men's Association at Pune on 3rd August 2024. The glasses were sponsored under CSR initiative of Indian Oil Corporation limited IOC, executed by Rotary Club of Madras East and JCBF and implemented by The Poona Blind Men's Association.
Technical Training Institute of The Poona Blind Men's Association celebrated its Founder's day by organising an Alumni Meet of Visually impaired students trained at Technical Training Institute and employed in the year 2023 to 2024, in various fields. The students came from all over Maharashtra. Total students who attended the event were 48.
Garba celebration for Dassera at Technical Training Institute. All visually impaired girls celebrated & danced & enjoyed at the event.
Presentation by SEBI and NSDL officials to all staff and students about financial security, awareness of scams, safe investments, opportunities.
70 Visually impaired students with staff attended the session.
IAAP India Chapter meeting was held on 19th October 2024 at Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture.
HR/Business heads from HSBC, Persistant, VM Ware, Freshworks, Tek Systems, Atos and Sugamya Digital Solutions participated.
20 visually impaired students from Technical Training Institute of The Poona Blind Men's Association along with Centre head, Project Manager and trainer had good discussion and networking for job opportunities in Accessibility field.
Diwali faral distribution to the students of Technical Training Institute by Innerwheel club.
It was distributed by President of PBMA Rajesh Bhai, Mr Juzer Kabira- Member of Ramtekdi Industrial Association, Kashmira and Innerwheel President and team.
